About the Author

Khenpo Chonyi Rangdrol became a monk at Thrangu Monastery Nepal at the age of six and in 1998 became the youngest Khenpo in the Monastery’s history. Khenpo-la was then appointed as a Teacher at the Monastic College for two years.

From 2003 to 2010, Khenpo-la served as the Principal of Shree Mangal Dvip School and since 2011, Khenpo-la has served as Abbot of Thrangu Tara Abbey Nunnery. From 2014 – 2016, Khenpo-la was appointed Vice President of the Nepal Buddhist Federation and is currently a senate member of Lumbini Buddhist University. In May 2022, Khenpo was newly appointed as the chairman (CEO) of Thrangu Monastery in Namo Buddha.
